Mission | About
Foscoe Community Center is a multi-use facility located in Banner Elk, NC with a beautiful backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, including Grandfather Mountain. Established in 1990 by John Weathers, his purpose was clear – he wanted a place for the children to play and learn. With the help of the community, that purpose came to life and has flourished ever since. With 3,500 square feet of adaptable space in the community center, we operate as a hub for the Foscoe-Grandfather Community.
Public events at our center have included community breakfasts, history dinners, music events, community council meetings, club & non-profit meeting space, health screenings, and more. More recently our community center assisted in the relief efforts after Hurricane Helene.
We're located in the heart of the High Country, between Boone and Banner Elk, just a short drive from all the favorite attractions. No matter the time of year, the natural beauty that abounds is sure to impress your guests. Look over our site for more information - read about our amenities, check availability, browse our photos, and come visit!
